Hey peeps, just wanted to share my feelings on something thats very personal to all of us, existence. What makes something real? Is it physical form? The ability to form congestive independant thought? A significant amount of popularity of the idea of its existence? In the end, existence is something that is extremely subjective. Take a random idea for instance, something that you are thinking of right now.

Tacos.

Ok cool, now that I know exactly what you are thinking about, this will be much easier.

“Dude this is stupid, I’m not going to keep thinking about tacos.”

Yes you will.
So anyway, imagine you are on a fabulous date that’s going relatively well. The other person is pretty cute, doesn’t live with their mother, and knows what Wallace and Gromit is.

(If you don’t know, you should probably look it up so that you have better dates in the future.)

And then the other person winks at you, and orders the family portion of tacos.

It’s a ginormous portion of crisp taco shells, golden brown meat, guacamole, lettuce, all topped with a breathtaking array of cheese and salsa.

You cry, this is the happiest you’ve ever been.

Now, do these tacos exist? They have perceived physical form, they affected your emotions, and they are fucking delicious.

“No of course they don’t, they don’t have any physical dimensions that we can interact with.”

Don’t they? Tacos, or the image of them that you are creating in your mind, do exist on one level. And, you can interact with them. Tiny electric impulses in your mind are what makes up this delicious treat.

“But that’s not a taco, that’s the memory of a taco.”

But it still has physical form, and interactivity. Existence doesn’t mean that the object you are trying to define has to match up to your expectations on form and interactivity just to be seen as a part of the spectrum of existing.

“Well, I don’t think it exists.”

That’s cool, but when you observe the universe as a whole, you have to acknowledge existence beyond which that we can comprehend. If you can accept that a couple billion light years away, there exists a ball made up of an uncountable amount of nuclear reactions, all going on at once to shoot light a couple million years in our direction, only to appear to us as a tiny pinprick in the sky, than its really not too much of a stretch to say that the thoughts within your own head exist as entities.

“…”

With this, we can connect many different ideas, like that other people’s thoughts and feelings are real tangible entities, deserving respect with how they interact with each person individually, or that mental trauma exists on a similar level, if not on a higher level than physical trauma.

Each persons mind is its own universe, infinitely complex, full of endless void, and full of individual existences.

Perhaps that is where our, and every galaxy sprouted from, the Infinite complexity of an evolving, self aware mind forming the threads of physical existence by transcending physical form.

Just an interesting thought.
