By me
Once upon a time, there was a day on our earth
When the children of our world went through a rebirth
Children, with delight, found out they could write
Anything that they liked, from their minds straight to life
They drew dragons and candy and things of that nature
And all of the adults stood in awe at their grandeur
Till one adult said, with a shake of his head
“This is crazy, unnatural, we must stop it.”
“Children are naive, with all the things that they believe.”
“In our world dreams don’t come true and we know it.”
So the adults, oh they yelled
But to their dismay, the children rebelled
And the adults looked again for guidance
“What can we do, even if this evil is true.”
“The children, they are too strong, even if they are wrong.”
But the man shook his head, and with a quiet voice said
“If a child is naughty do we not spank them.”
So the adults went to war, fighting for the opportunity to restore
The balance that existed before
But as the adults destroyed their creations
the children united as a nation
and fought against the people that they once showered with adoration
The war, it was bloody
The battlefields were muddy
With the corpses of those fallen widely spanned
All because one adult said, without peace in his head
To destroy all that he didn’t understand.
